Built by operators, for operators

AI that moves your business forward.

We start with the business, not the software. Momentym's operators learn how your company really runs, change what holds it back, then apply the latest AI to make it faster, leaner and more profitable.

Industries

Where the work is high-touch and the margins are thin.

These are businesses that run on thin margins and daily decisions. The numbers exist, but they rarely reach the people making the call in time to matter. We spend most of our time in these three industries, so we start from how the work actually gets done, not from a blank slate. The method travels to any high-touch business, where people, equipment and thin margins meet every day: industrial, medical, field services and more.

Transportation & Logistics Carriers and brokers

We work with a cross-border carrier on the tooling that dispatch and finance actually use: TMS integration, lane and driver scorecards, and freight forecasting that tells planners what next week looks like before it arrives.

Built alongside the operations team by people who have put technology into 1,500+ fleets.

Restaurants Multi-unit restaurants

Across 49 locations, from quick service to full service, we integrate Toast with accounting, payroll and customer sentiment data, so sales, labor, cost and what guests are saying land in one place.

On top of that: weekly scorecards, recipe-level food cost, and revenue, labor and cost forecasting, so schedules and orders are set to what next week will actually look like.

Healthcare Pediatric therapy and specialty practices

Intake, scheduling and billing optimization, practice analytics, and workflow automation that gives clinical time back to clinicians, keeps the schedule full and gets claims out clean.

Designed with the front desk, the billing team and the clinical directors who live in it.

Why Momentym

We learn how your business runs. Then we put AI to work on it.

Two inputs, one path. Your operation as it really runs, and the newest AI tooling, brought together by people who have run the business, not just built for it.

1

Run by experienced operators

We start where the work happens. Momentym is run by people who have been on the other side of the table, accountable for the numbers, and we learn your business the way an operator would: the key workflows, the handoffs, the workarounds.

2

Workflow first, software second

Before anything is built, we find the better way to do the work. Only then do we bring in the newest AI tools and algorithms, matched to those workflows rather than bolted on beside them.

3

Applied where it pays

The result shows up in your numbers, not in a demo: fewer hand-offs, faster cycles, better forecasts. And we stay on to keep it working as the business changes.

Team

Operators who build.

Momentym is led by two founders who have run and built for operating businesses, and who still spend most of their week inside them.

Co-Founder & CEO
Co-Founder & CTO
Mark Kessler
Co-Founder & CEO

Mark Kessler

Mark has spent more than thirty years in transportation and logistics, on both the technology and the operating side. As a senior executive at PeopleNet and then Chief Strategy Officer of Trimble Transportation, he helped grow a small telematics start-up 85x over 19 years into the top-ranked telematics company in trucking, serving more than 1,500 fleets, including 107 of the top 200 in North America. Along the way he ran sales, product development, M&A and strategy, and closed buy- and sell-side transactions worth close to $1 billion.

Before that he co-founded Trucking Co. Magazine (now Commercial Carrier Journal), and he has served on the board of the Truckload Carriers Association and on policy committees of the American Trucking Associations. Since 2020 he has invested in and helped run founder- and family-owned businesses, most recently in logistics, hospitality and healthcare.

At Momentym, Mark leads the company and works directly with every client, bringing deep experience in designing complex business processes to each engagement. He holds a BS and an MBA from Auburn University.

Laith Dahiyat
Co-Founder & CTO

Laith Dahiyat

Laith has spent nearly three decades building and running software businesses, starting on the technical side and ending up in the CEO seat. He has led three PE- and VC-backed SaaS companies to successful exits, as CEO of Pingboard (acquired by Workleap), Chief Strategy Officer of Chargify (acquired by Battery Ventures) and VP of Product at Assembla (acquired by Idera).

His product roots are in logistics: he built the product organization at uShip, the online freight marketplace, and led product at Trucker Path as it grew past 400,000 active drivers. Most recently he has served as the senior product and technology executive across a group of operating companies in healthcare, hospitality and logistics, leading their AI and technology transformation.

He began his career running infrastructure at CareerBuilder during the dot-com boom, and he still writes and ships code. At Momentym, Laith leads product and technology. He holds a BS from William & Mary.
